**Office Manager** required for a 30-year-old, specialist contractor with a leading name in the heritage and listed building restoration sector.**

Their work focusses on the restoration and conservation sector, working on a range of buildings from monuments, Grade I & II Listed Buildings, as well as commercial and ecclesiastical. They place a huge value on creating a collaborative team environment to better every individual, which in turn only strengthens the business.

This £100m + turnover building contractor carries out new build, & large refurbishments across a range of sectors up to a project value of circa £15m.

There is a position for a Site Manager - to back up the Project Manager - on an industrial project in Staines. The project has two phases comprising of 4no new build steel frame buildings (all fairly similar in size) totalling circa 170,000 sq. ft.

The first phase comprises the construction of a large self-storage facility (steel frame construction starts imminently) with phase 2 starting late November (earthworks initially) on the construction of 3 further new build units.

The Site Manager needs to be the main driver' of the site activities, supporting a busy Project Manager. This person will ideally have either industrial steel frame' or industrial fit-out experience (good all-round experience is preferred).

Duties:
•Managing day to day activities on site of the site team and sub-contractors
•Sub-contract and material procurement
•Construction plan
•Health & Safety
•Progress reports and site meetings
•Programming - short term
•Quality control
•Liaison with the design team, M&E consultants, project architect, structural engineer and building control

The ideal site manager must / have:

•CSCS (Black, Gold or White), SMSTS and First Aid at Work
•Have a proven track record of new build (or fit-out) and delivery of steel frame projects from
start to finish.

The Contracts manager will initially provide pre-con support to the teams and could be involved with 2 projects in Central London (both commercial office refurbishments, cut and carve) and a major new build residential scheme in Berkshire.
They also have a number of education projects in West London (£30m & £40m Academies), as well as an office / lab in Oxford that they may be involved in.

Duties:
In this company, a contracts manager will either run a single large project as the overall strategic leader and client liaison, or a number of smaller £20m-£40m projects where again they provide the overall leadership and client liaison and trouble shooting. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for ensuring the client and project reports get issued on time, review the project board packs prior to sending on to the directors, making sure the sites are running as they should and safety and quality standards are being adhered to. Provide advice to the team on contractual disputes and help the team by mentoring and coaching where necessary.

The Company:
The company itself is a leading top building contractor that covers a range of projects mostly within the commercial, life sciences and education sectors - typical contract values between £30m - £70m.
