The Role:
This is a key senior technical role where you'll be trusted to take ownership of design compliance from Stage 3 through to completion. You'll be the technical authority in the room ensuring details are right, standards are met, and projects are built exactly as they should be.
Perfect for someone with deep architectural knowledge who doesn't just sign off drawings but understands how things are actually built on site.
The Projects:
High-rise residential and mixed-use developments across London
Complex building envelopes, structures, and services that need rigorous compliance checks
Large-scale schemes taken from planning through delivery
Work alongside the Technical Director and wider project teams to ensure design integrity
What they're looking for:
Architecture degree with a minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience
RIBA or MCIAT preferred
Strong technical knowledge someone who can challenge and guide architects rather than rely on them
Experience in either a developer or contractor environment
Track record of high-rise building delivery (major advantage)
The Company:
This is a long-established main contractor delivering major residential and mixed-use projects across London. They take schemes from Stage 3 onwards, ensuring that design intent is carried through to build quality on site.
It's a business where technical expertise is valued, and where you'll have a direct line into the Technical Director not layers of management.

Quantity Surveyor - Refurb & New Build | Brentford | Permanent | Sep Start
The Role:
This is a hands-on Quantity Surveyor role where you'll be trusted to take ownership of your own projects. You'll play a key role in managing costs, keeping packages tight, and making sure jobs stack up commercially from start to finish.
Perfect for someone who enjoys responsibility, knows how to run projects independently, and wants to work on meaningful, technically detailed schemes - not just push paper.
The Projects:
Design & build and traditional contracts across the public and private sectors
Education schemes (live schools and nursery extensions)
Healthcare and community refurbishments
New build residential and mixed-use schemes up to £8m
Refurbishments in occupied buildings with tight access/logistics
Mixture of local authority, housing association, and private clients
What they're looking for:
Solid experience as a Quantity Surveyor (able to run your own jobs)
Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (JCT, D&B and traditional)
Confident with CVRs, subcontractor accounts, and cost reporting
Experience across both refurbishment and new build projects
The Company:
They're a long-established, family-run main contractor who've quietly delivered high-quality refurbishments and small-scale new builds in London for 40+ years.
Their projects are technically demanding but modest in scale - the kind of schemes that rely on good people, clear communication, and careful planning rather than layers of bureaucracy.
Also known as: Senior Quantity Surveyor, Project QS, Commercial Manager
Interested? Let's talk - no pressure.

Are you a Project Manager who's been running £10m - £15m+ sites?
The Company
·Think Tier 1 build quality without the Tier 1 nonsense. All the tools, none of the tape.
·This contractor is backed by a well-funded parent company (the type that pays on time and doesn't do jazz hands every time someone says "procurement"). They've got all the toys in-house: demo, piling, superstructure, joinery, haulage - and actually finish jobs. Properly. Not "let's get practical completion and run"
What you'll need to bring:
·Either already a Project Lead, or a Project Manager who's basically running the show but still being patted on the head
·Stuck around long enough to see a job finished - not someone who updates their CV every time the kettle breaks.
·Have proper construction knowledge - not just fluent in buzzwords like "value engineering" and "project synergies"
·Can read a programme, challenge it, fix it, and not have a meltdown when the brickies disappear for two weeks
What you'll be doing
·Running £10m - £15m jobs like they're yours (because they are) from breaking ground to cutting ribbons
·Taking responsibility without needing a committee to back you up
·Getting stuff built properly, safely, and on time - while fending off 800 "urgent" emails about what shade of grey the cladding is
·Leading from the front - boots on, not just boots in the back of the car
What you won't be doing
·Filling in ten forms to order a skip
·Sitting in meetings where someone says "let's park that for now" and then drives off forever.
·Explaining what a soffit is to a senior stakeholder named Clive who once built a treehouse in 1989
This role could also be referred to as a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Senior Construction Manager, Construction Manager, Project Director or Project Lead
I know this ad's had a bit of fun, but let's be clear-I'm a serious recruiter working with a serious contractor, and this is a seriously good opportunity. If you've got the experience and the grit to handle projects that matter, I want to hear from you.
