An established refurbishment and maintenance contractor in Chingford is looking to appoint a Bid Writer.
The previous individual was proactive - regularly monitoring portals, attending meetings and keeping submissions moving. They now need someone to step in and take ownership of that function.
This is a hands-on role in a small business environment. No large bid team. No corporate layers. You’ll be working directly with the MD, estimators and delivery teams.
The Role
- Daily monitoring of tender portals
• Managing PQQs, SQs and ITT submissions
• Coordinating technical, programme and commercial input
• Drafting and structuring written responses
• Attending internal meetings and supporting interviews where required
• Maintaining and improving bid library content
Office-based in Chingford with hybrid working flexibility
What they’re looking for
- Experience writing bids for a main contractor
• Ideally refurbishment / maintenance sector exposure
• Organised and consistent — able to manage multiple deadlines
• Comfortable working in a small, close-knit team
• Proactive without needing constant direction
The Business
A long-established main contractor delivering refurbishment and maintenance works across London, with a strong presence in Chelsea and surrounding prime areas.
Predominantly repeat-client work in a small team. They offer a very stable environment with long tenures being a part of the culture.
This is not a corporate bid department role, it’s ownership of the bid function within a steady contractor.
