Mechanical Site Manager role just in!
Things that never quite go to plan on a construction site:
• Drawings that are “100% coordinated”
• A programme that survives first contact with reality
• Access exactly when you need it
• Other trades exactly where they said they’d be
Most experienced Site Managers have the battle scars to prove it.
I’m working with a London M&E contractor looking for a Mechanical Site Manager who’s been through that a few times - and knows how to keep projects moving when the plan starts wobbling.
Projects are typically £100k–£200k, and you’d normally be overseeing 2–3 jobs at once across mechanical installs in live buildings - HVAC, pipework, ventilation, plant upgrades and decarbonisation works.
The difference here is the culture.
It’s a small £5–6m turnover contractor where people actually run their jobs properly.
No huge layers of management - just experienced people who know the technical side and take ownership.
They’re looking for someone who:
• Comes from a pipefitting / plumbing background
• Can manage small teams and subcontractors
• Reads drawings and spots problems before they become delays
• Keeps installations moving even when the programme takes a hit
London projects
Freelance or permanent considered
If you’re the kind of Site Manager who’s seen enough jobs to know where the problems usually appear - and how to stop them – happy to have a conversation.
