Site Manager | £25m Hotel Refurbishment | Nr Windsor
Freelance | 16 months | Starts July 2026
I'm looking for Site Managers for a major £25m hotel refurbishment near Windsor.
The project includes guest bedrooms, corridors, reception areas, restaurants, bars, front-of-house spaces, back-of-house areas and listed building elements.
The hotel stays open. The standards stay high.
And apparently "that'll do" isn't considered a quality control process.
Reporting to a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for driving your section of works, managing subcontractors and delivering finishes that are expected in a high-end hospitality environment.
Which sounds straightforward until you're explaining to a dryliner why "nearly straight" isn't actually straight, a decorator why "you won't notice it once the furniture is in" isn't an acceptable solution, and a joiner why the client has somehow spotted a 2mm gap from the other side of the room.
You'll need:
• Refurbishment experience
• Strong subcontractor management skills
• Experience working in live environments
• A genuine eye for detail
• The ability to maintain standards when everyone else wants to move on
This is a quality-driven project for a quality-driven contractor.
If you're the sort of Site Manager who notices things before the client does, I'd like to hear from you.
