We’re recruiting for a successful specialist contractor delivering a growing portfolio of CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects across the UK.
They’re looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who can come in, take responsibility and become an important part of the business as it continues to grow.
What does the role actually look like?
- You'll be commercially responsible for a mixture of projects rather than being buried within a large commercial team on one scheme.
- That means being involved from the front end, buying packages, managing costs and subcontractors, dealing with variations and client applications, keeping a close eye on margin and ultimately getting the final account agreed.
- You'll work closely with the people actually delivering the projects, so they're looking for someone who is commercially strong but also practical – a QS who understands what is happening on site and doesn't manage everything from a spreadsheet.

- You've probably spent 10–15 years in construction and reached the point where you don't need somebody looking over your shoulder.
- You know how to run a job.
- Ideally, your background will be within fit-out, refurbishment or interiors, with good exposure to both CAT A and CAT B projects.
You’ll need to be:
- Commercially sharp. You know where money is made and lost on a project.
- If you’re given responsibility for a job, you own it.
- Hard-working. This isn’t a business where people hide behind job titles.
- Good with people. You’ll be dealing directly with clients, subcontractors, Project Managers and senior management.
- The projects are nationwide, so you’ll need to be comfortable travelling to sites when the job requires it.

You'll have visibility, responsibility and autonomy, working across a varied pipeline of projects for a business that wants people who are prepared to make things happen.
The package is £80,000–£90,000 plus benefits, with a planned October 2026 start.
