Job Responsibilities:

·Provide efficient reception service for patients and visitors.
·Handle enquiries, schedule appointments, and explain procedures.
·Prioritise urgent consultations effectively.
·Orientate new patients and ensure completion of necessary procedures.
·Manage incoming and outgoing phone calls accurately.
·Record and manage home visit requests.
·Process repeat prescription requests within 48 hours.
·Organise paperwork for surgeries and clinics.
·Inform patients of private service charges and handle payments.
·Maintain accurate patient records on the computer.
·Manage patient notes and correspondence efficiently.
·Organise patient records and maintain alphabetical order.
·File correspondence promptly and ensure availability during patient visits.
·Ensure records are well-maintained and clearly labelled.
·Assist in maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the waiting area and kitchen.

Essential Experience:

·Customer service experience
·Reception experience within the medical sector
·Good computer skills, Microsoft word and excel
·Excellent communication skills

Desirable:

·Experienced with EMIS
·Previous work at a GP surgery
